100 Years of Magic comes to Ottawa

Where else can you find tiaras, princesses, superheroes and the smell of cotton candy heavy in the air, north of the 49th parallel?  Disney on Ice brings its spectacular celebration of 100 Years of Magic to the Canadian Tire Centre, running Wednesday, February 19th through to Sunday, February 23rd.

Set amidst elaborate sets and bejeweled costumes, the show is beautifully choreographed to our favourite Disney songs.  Featuring many Disney friends – Aladdin, Goofy, Nemo, Buzz Lightyear, Donald Duck, a dazzling array of princesses and, of course, crowd favourites, Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse, the show guides us through a journey across our most beloved Disney tales.

The quality we can expect from Disney is all there – kids will enjoy the lights, fireworks and stunts performed by their favourite characters, and adults will appreciate the brilliant display of athleticism that features precision skating, triple jumps, back flips and elegant lifts.  Many of the tunes transcend generations, and judging from the audience, grandparents, parents and kids alike, the show was a big hit.  Tickets as low as $15 are still available for the following shows and can be purchased by visiting www.capitaltickets.ca, or by phone at 613-599-FANS:

Saturday, Feb. 22 – 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and a 7 p.m. French performance
