Vehicle knocks out power in Barhaven

Over 2600 homes in the Barhaven area were left without power this afternoon after a Clean Water Works Truck driver ,who wished to remain anonymous, became trapped in his vehicle after striking a power line on Moodie Drive, near Kott Lumber. The driver was forced to jump to safety from his vehicle witch remained electrically charged.

 

The indecent sparked a grass fire which the Ottawa fire Services was quick to knock down in the remote dry area of Moodie & Trail Rd.

The driver was not hurt in the incident.
