Steve Martin Plays to Capacity

Steve Martin, the American actor, comedian, author, playwright, producer, musician and composer, headlined tonight’s spectacular evening with a no joke Banjo, playing to a sellout crowd. Martin opened with a sense of comedic flare and had everyone laughing from the moment  he stood at center stage .

Martin looked completely at home with banjo in hand along with his band The Steep Canyon Rangers. Although Martin’s musical claim to fame is bluegrass he was never short of showing off his own style on the stage and even joking with his own band members as he continued to strum into the beautifully lit Ottawa sky line.

Martin ended the night on a high note with one last laugh and nothing short of a spectacular performance.

Ziggy Marley was the opened, playing on the Canal stage as part of the Concerts Under the Stars.
