MONTREAL — Rachel Homan’s Team Canada booked its spot in Sunday’s final of the 2014 Scotties Tournament of Hearts by edging Chelsea Carey’s Manitoba squad 5-4 in the 10th end of the 1 vs 2 Page Playoff match. Carey will play in Saturday’s semifinal versus the winner of that morning’s 3 vs 4 Page Playoff match between Alberta’s Val Sweeting and Saskatchewan’s Stefanie Lawton.

The 1 vs 2 page playoff match lived up to its billing and was a tight affair throughout the evening, and ended on Carey’s final throw of the 10th end, when she crashed into one of her guard stones. Homan is 11-0 going into Sunday’s final.
