LMFAO leaves crowd wanting more – Bluesfest Review

By Ryan Arbuckle

The Main stage headliner from Thursday night’s Bluesfest was no other than the band LMFAO. They are an American electropop duo from Los angles California.  Normally the band consists of “Redfoo” 35 and his nephew “Skyblu” 25 but on this night, the crowd was informed that “Skyblu” would not be performing due to the fact that he was “shufflin” too hard and injured his back. “Redfoo” went on to tell the crowd that his nephew fell over and was choked by his “package”.

After watching the first few songs which consisted of beer bongs, half naked girls on the jumbo screens and an array of back up dancers grabbing there crotch. I started to wonder how the parents to all these eight to fourteen year olds could have possibly given their consent.

One of the major highlights to this show was when LMFAO’s guitarist took center stage, the crowd really rocked out to him playing covers of Guns N Roses & Slash.

I’m sure if you were to look down at the crowd from a helicopter you would be able to see an ocean of pink, florescent yellow and lime green t-shirts, big purple Afros and giant white framed glasses. There was even a guy wearing a box on his head for the entirety of the concert.
